Heat Recovery
Large energy and power savings can be achieved by heat recovery. The amount of energy saved in a normal air handling or ventilation is usually around 3kW per 1000 m3/h (at an average temperature of 8°C). Normally the installed effect can also be reduced by around 50%.
| 01/23/2004 Application area | Humidification
Heatex exchangers have a very large contact surface (approx. 250 m2 per m3 exchanger) which results in very effective humidification if water is sprayed into the exchanger. Close to 100% humidity can be achieved.
| 01/23/2004 Application area | Condensation
If the water content and difference of temperature is big enough then the heat exchanger can be used as a very effective condenser without energy input or freon.
| Application area | Pre-cooling
Can be used not only to pre-cool incoming air to an air-conditioner with exhaust cooled air, but also to pre-cool and after-heat to avoid condensation.
| 01/24/2004 Application area | Cooling of electrical equipment
Heatex heat exchangers can effectively be used to cool electrical equipment and electronics. The internal airflow in the circulation system is used to cool the electronics. When the internal airflow passes the heat exchanger it is cooled by the external airflow. In this way the right temperature/climate is maintained at all times.
| 01/24/2004 Application area | Dryers - save 60% enegy
Heatex can not only pre-heat incoming air in dryer applications with energy consumption reduced by up to 60%, but can also reduce drying times by 50%, and cooling off the exhaust air from the dryer can mean that the duct system can be eliminated.
