Residential Ventilation Systems

Residential ventilation systems differ from commercial and industrial ventilation, mainly in terms of the size of the heat exchanger involved. Residential air handling units tend to be less complex than non-residential ones and are designed for the ventilation of apartments, single-family homes, or small multifamily houses. The airflow is usually limited up to 1.000 m3/h.

However, the goals are often the same: heating or cooling (depending on the local climate), controlling the environment and humidity, and filtering pollutants from air contaminated with dust, pollen, and other particles. A poor indoor environment can also damage buildings.

Air-to-Air Heat Exchangers
Implementing an air-to-air residential heat exchanger in the ventilation system is an excellent way to utilize what is usually considered waste energy. There are two types of air-to-air heat exchangers: rotary and plate. Which one is selected depends on a set of parameters. Both types are made of aluminum and have excellent properties, including efficient heat transfer capabilities and an exceptionally long lifespan.

An air-to-air residential heat exchanger utilizes the temperature difference between the supply and exhaust air to increase overall system efficiency, recovering waste energy and saving a considerable amount of energy.

Compact air-to-air residential heat exchangers are ideal for use in ventilation systems in homes, small offices, kitchens, and similar spaces.
